Hi Mystery Author,

 

I’m super excited for this! I do have some general things, as well as some fandom-specific things I’d like to see.
 

 

General likes / interests:

 

- Jewish rep (but if that seems too much for you, it’s nbd)

- explicitly bi characters (with a few exceptions; of my listed characters, those exceptions are really just Regulus Black, who I hc as gay, and - obviously - Raymond Holt.)

- Fluff

- Domesticity

- Friendship fic

- Soulmate AUs with requested ships (or platonic soulmate AUs)

- Friends to Lovers

- Friends with Benefits (bonus points for Friends with Benefits to Lovers)

- That fun closeted baby gay thing we do where we convince ourselves we hate the person we have a crush on because why else are we so obsessed with them (no one else? just me?)

- I love cheesy rom-com plots (especially when they’re gay)

- i’m also not super into most kinky stuff, so again: not a hard DNW but an fyi (though a hard DNW on more extreme kinks; stuff like praise kink, non-degrading bdsm, roleplaying is totally fine!)

Fandom-specific things:

 

Harry Potter:
I adore Regulus Black. He is my all-time favourite character, and I really like fics which posit him as a reluctant Death Eater to begin with. I have written so much about Regulus. I’m not super into any Regulus ships (…except I’m going to be honest, with my OC Max from my Ravenclaw AU series – and I totally don’t expect anyone to write that, but, but I’d love something that explores how he processed the abuse he dealt with growing up (because from everything we see with canon, it’s pretty obvious that Walburga was a narcissistic abuser, and that Regulus filled the golden child role in that whole dynamic).
 

 

Neville is also a longtime fave, and I love his friendship with Luna (and if you want to write something shippy between them, I like that ship, too). My favorite Neville ship at the moment is (inexplicably) Neville/Anthony Longbottom. I’d also just love a fic where Neville’s allowed to talk about things that interest him without people acting like he’s boring, and just people respecting Neville in general.

 

I love Luna friendship fic – either her making friends or her and her friends supporting each other. I love how honest she is, and I’d love something about her with creatures.
 

 

For Draco, I love introspective fics, especially dealing with how he processes everything postwar.

 

Fandom DNWs: Regulus Black in any kind of het ship, Dramione (Drarry is cool tho), “the Death Eaters / Voldemort are good actually” (I’m jewish and they’re wizard nazis so… no), Death Eater fic in general unless it’s about unlearning that racism and changing sides, anything with Severus Snape or James Potter, the Marauders portrayed as uhhh not-bullies, Sirius being portrayed by the narrative as a compassionate and good person (i love him, but he’s an asshole and treats everyone around him like shit)

 

 

Brooklyn Nine-Nine:
Honestly, I love Jake and Amy and Holt and how all three of them interact with each other – especially Jake and Holt’s relationship. I would die for explicitly bisexual Jake in a fic, and explicitly Jewish Jake.

 

I actually really like the canon setting of the show, and I’d love something funny and light.
 

 

Fandom DNWs: I don’t think this will be an issue, but please no “Police Are Good, Actually” considering how the series criticises police violence, brutality, and incompetence on a regular basis.

 

 

The Umbrella Academy:
Klaus has highkey been my fave since I first read the comics over a decade ago, and I love how the Netflix series expanded on his character. I’d love something exploring Klaus’s relationships with Dave, Ben, Vanya and/or Five. I’m up for canon-compliant, canon divergent, total AUs, whatever.
 

 

I also really really love Gerard Way’s general vibe and all the dark humor in the comics. (Honestly, I think the show’s biggest flaw was not enough dark humor). I’m not really into anything straight up dark, or excessive angst. I do love fluff and light humour as well, although I’m cool with something more serious.
 

 

Fandom DNWs: narratives dismissing / devaluing Vanya or Klaus (characters can do this if it’s clearly presented as wrong by the narrative), Luther being overly involved in the fic, reiterating my no incest request here as well because yes that includes Luther/Allison, Vanya/Leonard being portrayed as good/healthy/acceptable in any way

 

 

Star Wars Prequels:
Anakin Skywalker is my absolute favorite Star Wars character, and he is an absolute disaster. I’d love fic of Anakin being a disaster – just constantly messing up everything around him.

 

I love his relationship with Obi-Wan, and I’d love a fic that explores that.
 

 

I also love Padmé, and I’d adore a fic of her being a political badass.
 

 

Fandom DNWs: Anakin/Palps

 

 

Star Wars OT:
I love Leia being a badass and general trio shenanigans.

Bonus points for Jewish Skywalkers in an AU.
 

 

Fandom DNWs: Han being some smooth womanizer
